AT&T and Lookout Work Together To Deliver “AT&T Mobile Security” App on iOS and Android Devices

San Francisco, CA - October 25, 2018 - Lookout, the global leader in securing mobility, announced today that AT&T’s security and privacy application, AT&T Mobile Security, is now available on iOS and Android devices. Previously only available on Android, AT&T Mobile Security is an easy-to-use, comprehensive application for Android and iOS users that aims to safeguard customer devices against sophisticated mobile threats.

“As our world grows increasingly mobile-first, security is a top priority for AT&T,” said Barbara Roden, Vice President of AT&T Mobile Broadband Network & Services. “With AT&T Mobile Security we want customers to enjoy the benefits of today’s mobile devices with more confidence about the data they store and share, the services they access and the networks they join.”

US consumers are spending up to five hours per day on their mobile devices. The need to protect mobile devices has never been greater. With AT&T Mobile Security, AT&T offers core protection to postpaid customers. For example, AT&T Mobile Security immediately alerts customers to device threats and risks to their personal data and privacy, so they can take immediate action to keep their important information safe.

Beyond core security features, AT&T Mobile Security provides enhanced and unique security features to protect customers, such as Breach Reports and Secure Wi-Fi VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Breach Reports provide individuals with alerts when a company, app, or service they may follow suffers a data breach that could impact personal security, privacy, and financial resources. Breach Reports offer clear and straightforward advice on how best to remediate the situation and proactively protect personal information. Secure Wi-Fi VPN protects customer data on public Wi-Fi networks, such as airports and coffee shops, by encrypting the connection from the device to the network. Secure Wi-Fi VPN checks each Wi-Fi network connection before customers connect to determine if the network is secure and automatically deploys whenever customers join an unencrypted Wi-Fi network.

For additional security, customers can download the AT&T Mobile Security and Call Protect bundle on both Android and iOS. AT&T Call Protect gives customers greater control over robocalls and unwanted calls. Features include automatic fraud blocking, suspected spam warning, manual call blocking and more.

“As consumers have embraced mobile devices and are using them more than ever, mobile threats have increased substantially,” said Firas Azmeh, VP of Distribution Partnerships, Lookout. “Lookout is proud to partner with AT&T to help deliver AT&T Mobile Security to its customers to protect them against mobile threats.”
