Stagefright Detector

The Stagefright Detector app scans your Android device to determine whether you are affected by the Stagefright vulnerability and provides you with practical advice on how to protect yourself and your device, such as immediately installing any patch from your carrier or OEM and disabling MMS auto-fetch in your default messaging app until your device is patched.

Zapper Task Killer

Lookout Zapper Task Killer helps you find the real culprit behind battery drain and slower phone performance by showing you a list of every active app on your phone. Apps are sorted by CPU usage, with those that are using the most processing power at the top. If you see something that seems like it is making your phone run slower or making your battery life suffer, select the app and zap to kill it.

Heartbleed Detector

The Lookout Heartbleed Detector can be used to determine whether or not your Android device is vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug in OpenSSL. This app works by determining what version of OpenSSL your device is using. If your device is using one of the affected versions of OpenSSL, we then check to see if the specific vulnerable feature called heartbeats is enabled.

Carrier IQ Detector

Security researchers have determined that many consumer mobile devices come with pre-installed diagnostic software called Carrier IQ. While this software appears to be designed to help mobile network operators improve coverage through metrics tracking, it does not provide a clear opt-out path for users. Plan B
